Burginsel, Delmenhorst, Deutschland - A spectacular sea of light illuminates the castle island in Delmenhorst! After three weeks of intensive work, the Bremen company "Pep Up Advertising design" installed over 100,000 light points and 5,000 meters of fairy lights to celebrate the opening of the "Deluminous" lighting park on Friday afternoon. Visitors can look forward to 50 days full of fascinating light installations and artistic sculptures that shine in different colors.

The pressure was enormous, but project manager Ove Braasch beams with joy: "It has become cool!" Despite the tight schedule, there are still small details that will be supplemented in the coming days, including the connection to the city center with illuminated bicycles on Rathausplatz. The official opening was celebrated by Mayor Petra Gerlach and Pep-Up managing director Dörte Sittig, and the invited guests, including the Werder legend Ailton, were enthusiastic about the magical atmosphere. "You don't see something like this every day," enthused sports commentator Eddie Mielke and praised the impressive installations that are also provided with QR codes to tell the history of Delmenhorst.

The Burginsel not only offers visual highlights, but also culinary delights! A small marketplace supplies visitors with mulled wine, fries, currywurst and sweet treats such as waffles and crepes. Project manager Braasch emphasizes that this is not a competition for the Christmas market, but an addition to increase the length of stay of the guests. An “intermediate glow” ensures additional cosiness with hot drinks.

The light park "Deluminous" is open daily from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. from November 15 to January 5. The admission price varies depending on the day of the week and pre-sale, with special days for families and municipal utilities. Tickets are available online at www.deluminous.de.
