Police Cuxhaven in action: Large exercise against killing spree at schools

Dorum, Deutschland - Red in Cuxhaven! Today, on November 6, 2024, extensive safety exercises took place on the former barracks in Altenwalde and at the Dörum secondary school "Achtern Diek". Police inspection Cuxhaven and other units of the Oldenburg police department have teamed up to test several scenarios and demonstrate their operational capacity. Various individual exercise stations were run in the morning, but the real highlight of the exercise of the fictional killing spree in the afternoon, which demanded five injuries!

This dramatic exercise required a lightning -fast reaction of the emergency services! At the secondary school in Dorum, which was chosen as a practice site, the officials were challenged, as in an emergency, to play through all the processes of emergency care: to be found by the perpetrators, medical help for the injured and the evacuation of all students, teachers and employees.
