Osterholz-Scharmbeck, Deutschland - On Memorial Day, numerous wreath residues and memorial celebrations of the fallen are commemorated in the region. The ceremonies start in the morning and run until the afternoon. In Scharmbeckstotel at 11 a.m. Mayor Peter Schnaars will lead the wreath, while in Garlstedt the death ceremony takes place at 10 a.m. with a prayer in the cemetery, accompanied by the fire brigade and the trombone choir. Memorial celebrations also take place in Heilshorn and Hülseberg at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m.

In Ritterhude, a wreath of the von Rex-Gröning and the Social Association is laid down at 9.45 a.m. A petition service for peace follows at 10 a.m. before commemorating the Kyffhäuser comradeship and other dignitaries at the new cemetery at 11.15 a.m. Brigadier general Holger Draber will also be present to represent the Bundeswehr. There are also numerous memorial events on the program in the community of Hambergen, including wreath laying in Axstedt and Hambergen.
