On November 18, a free information event will take place in the Cloppenburg district house, which is aimed specifically at pedelec drivers. In cooperation with the Cloppenburg/Vechta police inspection, the traffic safety consultant Marina Gunz will provide important tips and information to increase safety in road traffic. The lecture begins at 10 a.m. and is particularly aimed at seniors who can benefit from electrical pedal support, but also face challenges.

In the past few weeks there has been a worrying accumulation of traffic accidents with e-bikes in the district of Cloppenburg, often with serious consequences. Many of these accidents occurred because pedelecists disregarded the right of motor vehicles. Tragically, many of the injured did not wear a bicycle helmet, which significantly increased the severity of the injuries.
