A dramatic weekend in Cloppenburg! On Saturday evening, a 71-year-old man was victims of a sneaky street robbery on his way home between Aldi and the Den's market. He collided with a cyclist around 6:40 p.m., while he was walking along Emsteker Strasse. The collision let both fall to the ground, but the cyclist only helped briefly before he escaped and the most valuable of the victim - his wallet, which was safe in his pocket - stole prey. The police have started the investigation and asks witnesses to report on 04471/18600.

On Saturday morning, the rescue workers discovered his car at the dam - a hint that made the alarm bells ring! A total of 250 police, fire brigade, THW, DRK and DLRG were mobilized to search for the potentially health -endangered man. With drones, boats and rescue dogs, the emergency services were active for hours, without success. The search was interrupted at around 5:00 p.m. and will continue in daylight on Sunday, supported by local foresters and hunters.
