Police are looking for clues: fireworks thieves on the run!

On December 27, 2024, the police in Cloppenburg informed about theft that occurred in Lindern on November 22nd. Unknown perpetrators broke into a warehouse on Hünensteinweg and stole several boxes with fireworks. These belong to the "Starburst Symphony" series from the manufacturer Nico and are characterized by the striking anniversary inscription "75 years" on the boxes.

With the official start of the fireworks sale on December 28th, the police are hoping for new information on the incident. She suspects that the stolen goods could possibly be sold illegally. For this reason, comparative photos of the stolen boxes were published. The police asks the public for help and hopes to provide information:

  • conspicuous boxes since November 22, 2024,
  • offered on the Internet or dubious sales ads,
  • illegal disposal of the boxes.

Information can be given to the Cloppenburg police on 04471/18600. In another incident, such as presseportal.de , there was a theft between 25 and 29 August 2023 in a warehouse in Eisenbahnstraße in Cloppenburg, where several stainless steel rails were stolen.

In addition, on September 2, 2023, there was a fire at a primary school in Löningen, where a large waste bin was completely destroyed, which led to an estimated property damage of 500 euros. The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
