Heimatverein Cloppenburg: More space for history and community!

A big upheaval is before the Krapp House in Cloppenburg! The home club Cloppenburg receives valuable space by moving out the Catholic parish of Sankt Andreas, who moves to its new Vikar Henn-Haus at the end of this year. Der Arbeitskreis Stadtarchiv, der dem Heimatverein angehört und eine wichtige Aufgabe für die Stadt wahrnimmt, wird ebenfalls in das Krapp-Haus einziehen. The city of Cloppenburg thus becomes the main tenant of the building, while the use of the upper floor remains unclear. This floor is currently leased by the parish.

Cloppenburg -The home club has made a name for itself in the Krapp House in the past three years and enjoys a significantly increased public perception. The city administration reports on an increased proximity to the citizens, as Cloppenburger spontaneously visit the office to find out about and exchange information about local topics. The large shop windows of the Krapp house could be used even more intensively in the future to exhibit historical pictures of Cloppenburg and to keep history alive.

new accents for home

The Heimatverein not only has traditional events such as excursions, fireplace evenings and concerts on offer, but also sets new impulses for the understanding of home. The term now no longer only includes the original Cloppenburg, but also added who feel good in the city. Innovative projects that address ecology and mobility were launched in cooperation with the Museumsdorf, the Nature Conservation Association and the General German Bicycle Club. These developments show that the home club is actively working on redefining and designing the feeling of home in Cloppenburg.
