In the night from Friday to Saturday, over 400 emergency services stormed 22 objects in the districts of Aurich, Wittmund, Leer and Friesland as well as in the city of Emden. The goal? Impressive evidence was ensured during the searches: around 30 illegal slot machines, numerous gaming tables and even a luxurious 7 Series BMW landed in the police district. These include 14 due to alleged minimum wage violations, two for illegal employment and further suspicion of drug offenses and fire protection violations. A shisha bar in Aurich had to be cleared due to safety defects. The searches went into the early morning and the authorities are convinced that this blow will disturb the criminal network.

The Osnabrück public prosecutor, specializing in clan crime, was on site with seven prosecutors to make immediate decisions. This is not the first big blow to clan crime-there was a similar, successful campaign a year ago. The police are optimistic that the region has taken a decisive step towards containing clan crime!
