Two cities in the race: Who is organizing the 2030 Lower Saxony Landesgarten Show?

The anticipation for the Lower Saxony State Garden Show 2030 is growing! Shortly before the reporting date for the application, two main competitors have already thrown themselves into the race: Duderstadt in the district of Göttingen and Bad Zwischenahn in the Ammerland district. Both cities signal their interest, but the official application can be submitted by November 1st. The tension increases and visitors can be excited to see who will ultimately win the orientation!

The history of this show is rich and diverse: Bad Zwischenahn was already host of the first state garden show in 2002, while Duderstadt in 1994 the then state exhibition "Nature in Urban Bau". A race for cultures and innovations seems to be anticipated! The Ministry of Agriculture announced that the decision on the organizer will be made in the first quarter of 2025 after a valuation commission has taken a close look at the applications.

Financial support for the show

The financial grant of up to six million euros that the country provides is used for both investments and to close possible funding gaps. Five million euros are available for investments alone, while up to one million euros acts as a buffer. The audience can therefore look forward to a variety of exciting projects and attractions. In the meantime, the next state garden show takes place under the motto "Here blooms diversity" from April 29 to October 18, 2026 in Bad Nenndorf, west of Hanover. With costs of 34 million euros for the construction projects, this edition will prove that the State Garden Show remains an important event that not only celebrates nature, but also strengthens the cultural identity of Lower Saxony.
