New shooting house in Ammerland: Schützenmeister meet for the first shot!

An exciting moment for the shooting club Edelweiß in Ammerland: On Tuesday, October 23, 2024, the brand new shooting club was solemnly put into operation! With an impressive effort of 500 voluntary work hours, the members created their new home. Now the joy is great, because from now on the new shooting range will be used regularly and brings a breath of fresh air to the shooting community.

first shots from the prominence

Schützenmeister Josef Lanzinger, Vice Mayor Josef Strobl and Vice Rifle Master Karl Brunnbauer were the first to inaugurate the newly built rifle house. They competed against each other and aimed at the modern, six electronic shooting ranges. The atmosphere was electrifying when the first shots echoed through the air. The association is optimistic about the future: "We already have a gratifying membership growth through the Ammerland location," the association announced in a press release, while the first successes in the new environment are already celebrated.

The shooting club, which the Edelweiß shooting club shares with the volunteer fire brigade, is not only a place for competitions, but is also used for regular training. The next practice shooting is already at the corner: On Friday, October 25th, the next shots will fall. From November 8th, weekly shooting events will take place, which makes the newly built home a pulsating center for shooters and friends.
