New school branches in Ammerland: Revolution in class begins!

The vocational schools Ammerland are set by an exciting sign for the future! From the school year 2025/2026 you will start with two revolutionary school branches: the "Vocational School BFS - Dual" and the "Vocational High School Technology". These innovations not only promise a breath of fresh air in education, but also a completely new teaching concept that prepares students for the challenges of the modern working world.

"In today's world, it is essential that vocational students are constantly training," explains Elin to them, member of the school management team. The BBS pursues an innovative approach in which students learn independently and act teachers as a "learning companion". Classic lessons will be an exception! Students should decide for themselves which topics they deepen and at what pace they learn. This not only promotes independence, but also the ability to find and critically evaluate relevant information.

Vocational School BFS - Dual

The new vocational school is aimed at everyone who does not find a training position after the general school. Here, pupils with a secondary school leaving certificate or equivalent conclusion in areas such as economy, technology or health and social issues can start here. After an orientation phase up to the autumn holidays, a differentiation phase follows in which the students determine their professional perspectives. From the second half of the year it will either be in vocational training or the technical college.

For prospective engineers and technicians, BBS will offer the vocational high school technology from August. Here, exciting projects are in the foreground, such as the construction of an e-Gokart, which gives the students practical experience. The graduation after three years is the high school diploma as the first examination subject. To register, the students need an extended secondary degree I or a comparable level of education. Registrations are possible online from February 1 to 20.
