Construction site Zwischenahner Straße: traffic lights against crossroads!

A dramatic cut for drivers! Zwischenahner Straße in Bad Zwischenahn is now closed! The reason? The demolition of the bridge over the Autobahn 28 to design a completely new building. Autobahn GmbH set up the construction site on Monday, and now a traffic chaos duration of around a year and a half awaits us!

The diversion routes are set up, but caution is advised! While the entrances on the highway towards Oldenburg and Emden continue to remain open, all other road users have to expect huge detours. Western traffic is led over Dreibergen, Helle and Gristede, while the eastern route leads over Neuenkruge and Westerholtsfelde. And the best? A traffic light will soon be available at the dangerous intersection Westerholtsfelder Straße/Tannenkampstrasse! This should improve the traffic situation until the final redesign in 2026!

But not enough! Traffic steering is rounded off by temporary speed restrictions and passage bans in the Neuenkruge and Gristeede region. Drivers have to get prepared for regular speed controls, because the police will actively act against violations. In order to cope with the additional traffic on the detour routes, all drivers are urgently asked to use the new routes!

The construction site and the associated measures are a challenge, but the long -term improvements promise a safer traffic environment - especially at risky intersections. Be ready, because the construction site marathon has started!
