New flight destination Kos from Saarbrücken: Izmir falls away!
From the end of March 2025, Saarbrücken Airport will head for an exciting new goal: the fantastic Greek island of Kos! This message was officially announced on Friday, November 8, 2024. The anticipation of the sunny beaches and the crystal -clear water is huge, but there is also a drop of bitterness: the popular Turkish travel destination Izmir is deleted from the flight schedule. So travelers have to decide whether they prefer the Greek sun or Turkish hospitality.
changes in flight offer
With the new flight offer, the collaboration with the airline Smartlynx ends, which has repeatedly caused problems in the past. Instead, Skyup Airlines Malta and Aegean Airlines will take over the main responsibility for the holiday flights from March. Aegean Airlines will operate the Saarbrücken-Rhodos route every week, while Skyup Airlines heads for exciting goals such as Djerba, Fuerteventura, Crete, Gran Canaria and Mallorca. However, the number of weekly flights at Saarbrücken Airport drops slightly from 48 to 45.
The summer flight schedule applies from March 30 to October 25, 2025 and promises an exciting selection of travel destinations. Travelers can look forward to ten different destinations, including Antalya, Berlin and the popular Balearic Islands. The anticipation for summer increases while the travelers adapt to new adventures and unforgettable experiences!
