Wismar is investing in emergency services: modernization for faster help!
Wismar. A dramatic step in an emergency supply: The new rescue guard at the hospital is now ready to open its doors! In the past six months, a modern home for the emergency services has been created for an impressive 300,000 euros. Finally the heroes can return to blue after they had to live in provisional accommodations. "We were often only back 45 minutes after an assignment," reports emergency paramedics Kai Röpcke. The return to the guard will not only be a relief for the employees, but also a strengthening of the team spirit, because they consider themselves as a family.
From November 11th, the team will be able to use the new premises with a lounge and terrace. The renovation measures have significantly improved the working conditions: a larger changing room, more sanitary facilities and several individual bedrooms ensure the necessary comfort. "The nights are often disturbed by missions, good resting phases are important to us," explains Florian Haug, head of the emergency services. The vehicle hall was also expanded to meet the longer ambulance.
Emergency service Wismar: Four employees per shift
In this state -of -the -art guard, an emergency doctor and an ambulance are available around the clock. At least three employees and an emergency doctor are ready for use per shift to help in Wismar and the surrounding communities as quickly as possible. In addition, trainees are trained here, which ensures the future of the emergency services. District Administrator Tino Schomann (CDU) emphasizes the need for these investments: "The requirements grow and we have to modernize and adapt the equipment." Wismar is ready to master the challenges of emergency care with fresh vigor!
