Serious accident on A20: Car lands between trees - women injured!
On October 9, around 4:40 p.m. on Autobahn 20 at Wismar, a serious accident occurred, which called several emergency vehicles on the scene. In heavy rain, a Renault fell to the right of the road and broke a banquet. The car grazed some trees and finally came to a standstill between them. The 29-year-old driver and an 18-year-old insassin were trapped in the vehicle.
The fire brigade and emergency services had to secure the car before they could free the two women. After the saving campaign, both were easily injured to the hospital in Wismar. This shows the dangers that lurk on the streets in adverse weather conditions and makes it clear how important a quick reaction of the emergency services is.

In the vehicle there was also a dog that was luckily unharmed. After the accident, the dog was temporarily housed in the animal shelter in the village of Mecklenburg. The material damage that the accident caused is estimated by the police to around 20,000 euros.
In order to be able to carry out the rescue and recovery measures, the A20 was blocked for about two hours. This blocking could also have had an impact on traffic in the region, since the highway is an important traffic artery.
A few minutes before the main accident, between 4:20 p.m. and 4:35 p.m., two more vehicles had already strayed from the street due to the poor weather and crashed into the guardrail.
