In a heartbreaking case of cruelty to animals, Bulldogge Willi was discovered near Wismar. During an apartment clearance, the helpers came across the emaciated dog, who could hardly walk because his claws were too long. Willi, a victim of agony, has been suffering from his predicament for over ten years. His inserted snout hardly lets him breathe, and often his tongue looks out as he snorts. A fate that even the most experienced animal shelter employees shakes.

Despite his difficult past, he shows himself as a gentle male who loves to be caressed. Slowly he is increasing again, and hope for a better future germinates. But the sad truth is that Willi was probably locked up in an apartment, which did not make him house. "If he has to do it, because he doesn't know it any other way," explains Meike Gutzmann, chair of the Wismar and the surrounding area.

The number increases terrifying," reports Gutzmann. The shelter is currently taking care of 22 dogs and is full, but there is still space for emergencies like Willi. To ensure the supply of animals, donations are urgently needed.
