At that time there were six other restaurants in Zierow. Today only the "oasis" on the campsite is left as an alternative that hurts the locals.

In recent years, the “Zierower Hof” has organized tens of thousands of celebrations, from weddings to birthday parties to class reunions. "Now people call and say they want to eat with me one last time," says SIP and describes the emotional reactions on the closure. His schnitzel were legendary, and the prices are unforgettable: "30 years ago our schnitzel only cost 6.60 D-Mark," he says with a smile.

The decision to close was hard because it is connected to many memories for both restaurant visitors and the SIP family. His wife was always at his side during the 30 years, even if it meant that they only met at work. "We were like a big family," says Sip about his team that has been created in recent years.

With the end of the restaurant, a sale is now on the program. The interest in this is great and many guests and friends want to secure a piece of the “Zierower Hof”. "Tables, chairs and various objects are already reserved," explains SIP. There are even for the decorative parts, such as the horseshoe or the large wagon wheel.

Some kitchen utensils are still available, including microwaves and cooling technology. However, these will only have to be submitted after the last working day if SIP finally deports his cooking jacket. "It will be a big change for me, but I am also looking forward to retirement and the new adventures that I will experience with my wife," he says excitedly.
