Warm willingness to donate: Stralsund support mobile street kitchen
In the run -up to Christmas, the Stralsund citizens once again show their big heart. Just a week before Christmas Eve, readers of the Ostsee-Zeitung have already donated over 11,887 euros for the Christmas campaign, which will benefit young people in need in the region. These donations flow directly into the mobile street cuisine of the district diaconal work (KDW), which offers support for children and adolescents disadvantaged by outreach youth social work, such as the Ostsee-Zeitung reported.
The street kitchen enables young people to get food for free and offers a place to get into conversation. The KDW plans to increase the number of mobile kitchen offers in order to promote contact and to facilitate access to other social and cultural offers such as sports AGS. Its goal is to lead the young people on a better life path, as the Kreisdiakonische Werk . Again and again donors, including regular supporters such as local companies, have contributed significantly to the funding amount.
The generous donations come from individuals and groups that are committed to high amounts for the project. Over 500 euros alone not only bring joy from individual donors, but also show the strong sense of community and the commitment to the future of youth in Stralsund. The "Help brings joy" campaign is well received and shows how important social projects are, especially in the upcoming contemplative time of the year.
