While the audience was taken on a visual journey through the seasons, the breathtaking videos of Olaf Kollmannsperger created a captivating connection between dance and music.
choreographers awaken the seasons on life
Craig Davidson opened the round with spring and lies joie de vivre and hope bloom. Ballet master Ana Isabel Casquilho was inspired by the summer, which shone in her choreographies with colors and powerful movements, but also showed threatening weather. Juanjo Arqués characterized the autumn as a melancholy transition period full of loss, while Jonathan dos Santos caught the cold and silence with his portrayal of winter - but this calm announces the early spring and brings a touch of hope.
In its entirety, "Four Seasons-Recomposed" impressively shows how four individual choreographies merge into a harmonious work. The performance of a total of twelve dancers who are full of dedication and can inspire the audience leaves no doubt about it: The art of the ballet gives us moments that we will not be forgotten so quickly.
