New football cage in Gostorf: A festival for the whole community!

in Gostorf, a small place at the gates of Grevesmühlen, a new football cage was inaugurated, which makes the hearts of the young kickers beat faster! The newly opened Soccer Court, for which 80,000 euros were invested, is the result of years of engagement by club chairman Jörg Milbrecht. "It wasn't easy," emphasizes Milbrecht, who has been driving the implementation of the project for two years. The inauguration ceremony attracted numerous residents and club members who celebrated this special moment together.

The community actively supported and the community workers received a big praise for their excellent earthworks. Thanks to the funding provided, the dream of a new soccer field was finally able to become a reality. "Around two thirds of the sum were funded," explains Milbrecht. Although some details such as the lighting are still missing, this will also be completed in the next few days.

A village-a club-a community

The Gostorfer SV, which celebrates its 70th anniversary in 2025, has managed to bring the community together. While the men's football players play at district level, the club offers a variety of activities, including strength training and women's football. Line dance and dance lessons also take place in the clubhouse. Club life only really begins in Gostorf when the lights go out in other places - there is a celebration here! The sports field also serves as a fairground for the community, and the tradition of the beer garden festival since 1976 has been continued with a renovation. Jörg Milbrecht raised the beer glass to the inauguration and celebrated this new milestone with the community.
