Art and dance: Wismar's new center for creativity opened!

Wismar. In the newly opened art contor Wismar, which opened its doors after over a decade of the renovation, visitors can expect an exciting experience. Paul Menninghaus, the creative head behind this unique place, has accommodated its impressive art collection at Dankwartstraße 32 and now invites everyone to immerse themselves in the world of art. "We look on the Internet every day at auctions, whether a picture appears somewhere," he reveals, "he reveals and proudly shows some of his treasures.

The KKW is not only a place for art, but also a social meeting point! From Thursday to Sunday there is coffee and cake from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., while the guests discuss the fascinating works of art. And the best? Every Thursday evening from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. is invited to the after-work party! "We put up music, you can dance or talk to each other at the bar," explains Menninghaus enthusiastically. Admission is free, but of course the treats cost something.

A house for your own art collection

The collection comprises over 1300 works, including pieces by well-known artists such as Rudolf Roth and Robert Keil. "This is my favorite artist from Kühlungsborn, Wolfgang Eckhardt. The Picasso of the north," enthuses Menninghaus. He not only invested a lot of time in the renovation, but also in the creation of a cultural hotspot that brings people together and inspires for art. "Tuesday evening I would like to offer proper dancing to practice, for example Salsa or Tango," he adds. A place where art and conviviality go hand in hand - that is the NPP in Wismar!
