Memorial days in the district: Memorial Day with moving ceremonies

On Sunday, November 17, 2024, the district of Nordwestmecklenburg will become the scene of moving memorial events on the occasion of the Membership Day. People will come together in various places, including the camp cemetery in Losten at Bad Kleinen and the old soldier's cemetery in Wismar, to commemorate the victims of war and violence.

The ceremonies start early in the morning: At 9 a.m. there will be a wreath resolution at the Lagerfriedhof in Losten, followed by another ceremony at 10 a.m. at the memorial for the fallen of the First World War in Gadebusch. A memorial service will be held in the city church of the coin town at 11 a.m. A memorial service is also celebrated in the church of Dorf Mecklenburg at 10 a.m.

Memorial events in Rehna and the surrounding area

In Rehna, a commemorative event with wreath-laying will take place at 11 a.m., in which Pastor Andreas Ortlieb will appear as a speaker. Further memorial lessons are planned in several places in the district to commemorate the victims of violence and war. Here are some of the most important events:
