Judge forces Neustrelitz drug dealers to confess - punishment follows!

In a sensational procedure at the Neubrandenburg Regional Court, two men finally made a confession more than four years after a drug raid. The judge, Jochen Unterlöhner, threw a clear reminder to the accused and presented them with the choice of saying the truth this time. The 33 and 39 -year -old Neustrelitzer admitted that they had stored a kilogram of cannabis in a garage in the summer of 2020, which is considered an illegal property in Germany.

Despite a new, milder legislation regarding cannabis, the public prosecutor demanded a new negotiation, which now led to fines in the course of an appeal. The judge raised the previous acquittal of the district court and expressed the new judgments. "It can go out very differently here in the second instance than before the district court," warned the two defendants at the beginning of the negotiation.

The long way to make the decision

The raid in the garage, which officially belonged to a relative of the accused, actually began looking for a stolen moped, which the police also discovered there. Although the moped theft could not be detected, the analysis of the drugs and utensils found in the garage left clear traces.

The lengthy of the drugs by the State Criminal Police Office Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania is particularly remarkable-this dragged on for about two years, which not only the accused, but also many other drug processes. When measuring the fines, the judge paid attention to the financial situation of the men, which led to interesting revelations.

Income and Responsibility

The younger defendant, a 33-year-old trained cook, has lived on citizens' money for a year and a half and now has four children. His unemployment attracted the lack of understanding of the judge. "So many companies are looking for people, who can cook," said Unterlönner. The 39-year-old, not prevailed man, explained that he is currently working as a home man, while his partner who sells baked goods, secured income for the family.

At the end of the procedure, a fine of 1500 euros was set for the 33-year-old, during the older 1000 euros. These punishments are based on a system of daily rates, and since, from 90 daily rates, a person is considered a criminal record, the severity of their offenses was clearly outlined. Both men ultimately waived further appeals, so that the judgments became final.

Before leaving the courtroom, judges Unterwören did not miss the end of the defendant: "If you found a family, you have to take care of it at some point with your own hands." Such words can be an important food for thought in the future to reorient themselves in their lives.
