Neubrandenburg's OB: insults and a dance video cause excitement!

A scandalous judgment beats waves in Neubrandenburg! Mayor Silvio Witt (independent) faces insulting comments that have appeared in connection with a private dance video. The judiciary has now decided against a 36-year-old woman who called Witt on Facebook as "tick". The court hired the procedure for payment of 300 euros and recommended the woman to apologize to the OB.

The insult found its origin on January 8, 2024, when Witt could be seen in a happy but sparse-clad state on a party video. In the meantime, citizens protested in front of the town hall, and the accused was outraged that they were denied access to the toilets. "The tick was in the town hall," she wrote in a comment and compared the OB to a blood -sucking animal. Chief Prosecutor Andreas Lins said that this is a clear insult that Witt did not want to leave. The first process ended with a criminal order over 700 euros against which the woman appealed.

A judgment

In court, the accused admitted that he had written the comment was not aware that "tick" could be understood as an insult. "I'm sorry if the OB felt offended," she confessed. But the prosecutor left no doubt that ignorance did not protect against punishment. In the end, the parties agreed on the payment of 300 euros, which are supposed to flow to a non -profit organization in installments, which supports children.

The "Stable Citizens Neubrandenburg", led by Tim Großmüller, are behind the attacks on Witt, who openly confesses to his homosexuality. Großmüller recently caused excitement when he wanted to banish the rainbow flag from the train station for safety reasons. Witt has already announced his resignation for early summer 2025. The Situation remains tense, while the Neubrandenburg native draws an apprenticeship from the process: "I don't say the word 'tick' to my children anymore."
