Dieter Maschine Birr inspires 666 fans in Neubrandenburg!

Dieter Birr, known as the "machine", attracted the mass! The legendary ex-front man of the GDR cult band Puhdys provided delighted faces at two completely sold out concerts in Neubrandenburg. On Saturday and Sunday, 666 fans in the concert church experienced magical moments with an exciting musical show that they will not forget so quickly.

A musical journey through time

With his long-time companion Uwe Hassbecker from Silly, the 80-year-old created a more than two-hour program that presented both classics and new songs. The 22 songs not only aroused nostalgic memories, but also ensured unforgettable goosebumps and thunderous applause. Birr, whose overweight once earned him the nickname "machine", kept the audience caught with funny anecdotes and personal insights.

Hassbeck also appeared solo with an impressive violin solo and delighted the crowd with two Silly hits. Among the exciting stories was an amusing anecdote for film music for "The Moon and other lovers", in which he once stood in front of the camera. When the famous Puhdys hymns such as "When a person lives" and "old like a tree" were played, the audience went up the walls with enthusiasm.

But the same question: When do fans get the next chance to experience the legend live? Birr made his promise: "On January 2, 2026 I will be here again!" A date that the fans have already marked in their calendars!
