In Neubrandenburg, the competition of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK) Neubrandenburg was recently decided on the eastern Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. Class 9a of the Tützpatz regional school won in the "Best Ninth" category. Under the direction of class teacher Jonas Leischow, the class received an award that was also associated with a financial prize in addition to praise and recognition. IHK general manager Torsten Haasch ceremoniously presented the honor.

The Mayor of the municipality of Tützpatz, Roland Schulz (CDU), proudly commented on the achievements of the students and the entire school. His enthusiasm was clearly felt: "This is really a great performance in the class and also the entire school that deserves my greatest respect."

Prize winner with 1000 euros for free use

The students were also able to look forward to flowers and documents, but also a check of 1000 euros, which they can use freely. The evaluation of the classes for the competition was based 75 percent on the grade average of all teaching subjects and 25 percent on the average assessment of the work and social behavior of the pupils that were defined in the grades.

This competition, which has been carried out for nine years, not only aims to promote good school performance, but also to strengthen the team spirit within the classes. In the past school year, 32 classes from 27 schools and high schools took part in the competition, including 17 classes from the Mecklenburg Lake District. Participation shows that schools are ready to face the challenges and motivate their students.
