Unemployment on the lake plate: easy decline, new challenges!

Mecklenburgische Seenplatte, Deutschland - A slight decline in unemployment in the lake plate causes a stir! In October, 27 fewer unemployed people were reported than in September, a total of 11,153 people, which corresponds to an unemployment rate of 8.7 percent. But appearance is deceptive: compared to the previous year there are 411 unemployed more! Employment boss Wegner describes the situation as "positive but challenging", while the city of Röbel has 5.7 percent the lowest quota and Neubrandenburg the highest with 12.3 percent.

The ray of hope: Despite the decline in the total number of the unemployed, the number of newcomers in unemployment increased dramatically after a loss of job. In October, 791 people reported unemployed - an alarming increase of 25 percent compared to the previous month! Wegner warns of unstable employment relationships and seasonal influences that drive this trend. But there is also good news: 601 people found a new job in October, 17 more than in the previous year, even if this is 122 less than in the previous month.

increasing demand for workers

The demand for workers is booming! In October, 461 new vacancies were reported to the employment agency - 134 more than in September and 97 more than in the previous year. Wegner emphasizes that despite difficult conditions, companies continue to search for qualified specialists. There are numerous entry opportunities in particular in the areas of construction, processing business, trade and healthcare. The greatest demand comes from the construction industry with 362 open spots, followed by the processing business with 302 and the health and social affairs with 298.

The developments show that the employment agency Neubrandenburg is actively working on solutions to quickly support job seekers and to promote economic stability in the region. But while the numbers fluctuate, the question remains: how stable is the job market really?
