Eilenburg is clearly subject to Greifswald: 0: 3 defeat hurts!
Eilenburg. A bitter evening for FC Eilenburg! In a gripping duel in the Regionalliga Northeast, the Eilenburgers had to accept a painful 0: 3 defeat against Greifswald FC. The team of coach Sascha Prüfer remains without a home win and is anything but convincing in front of a home crowd. The guests from Greifswald, who had traveled as vice champions, took out the weaknesses of the Eilenburg mercilessly and demonstrated their superiority in front of the goal.
The Eilenburgers started the game with two changes because Noah Baumann was closed and Jonas Marx was sick. Benjamin Luis and Michael Schlicht took over their positions, but the Eilenburgers did not find their way into play. Greifswald was dominant right from the start and put the Eilenburg defense under pressure. Despite an occasional rearing of the Eilenburg, such as a promising attack in the 29th minute, real chances to score remained in short supply. The first half ended goalless, which the Greifswald visibly frustrated.
Greifswald takes over the game
After the break, the Greifswald started like the fire brigade! Just ten seconds after the restart, Benyamina gave a great chance, but then the hour of Ali Wissam abu-alfa. After an error in the Eilenburg defense, he was able to get the lead in the 53rd minute. The Eilenburgs were shocked, and the 0: 2 promptly followed in the 64th minute when a missed back pass from Sören Acker became the perfect assist for Benyamina. The Eilenburg defensive was now completely out of time, and the Greifswald celebrated their third goal through Rudolf Nduala, who hit the corner from 20 meters. The Greifswald cheered and danced in a circle, while the Eilenburgers have to prepare for the next training session under floodlights.
