Ibiza flights away: Marabu adapts summer program from Nuremberg!
Nürnberg, Deutschland - The holiday island Ibiza has disappeared from the flight schedule of the Nuremberg Airport. The Airline Marabu, a subsidiary of Condor, originally planned to fly Ibiza twice a week from Nuremberg. This change is part of a more comprehensive adjustment of the flight plan.
Marabu pursues ambitious growth goals for the summer of 2024 and plans to expand the fleet from currently four to eight A320neo machines. In order to achieve this, it is also considered to rent aircraft and crews from other airlines. However, a high demand for rental aircraft and less available machines than planned lead to difficulties in implementation. In addition, the increasing costs for airport infrastructure and air traffic control in Germany are pointed out, which are considered a challenge. The cost level in Germany is one of the highest in Europe.
adjustments in the flight schedule
Marabu adapts your flight schedule, which also reflects similar measures by other airlines such as Ryanair, Eurowings and Condor. The only remaining Balearic Island in the summer flight schedule of Marabu is Mallorca, which is flown in several times a day. In addition, there are still connections to various cities on the Spanish mainland and the Canary Islands from Nuremberg, for example to Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria and Tenerife.
