Wagenknecht founds Hessische Landesverband: The departure is here!
A new chapter in the German party landscape is opened: Sahra Wagenknecht, the former top politician of the Left Party, is planning to establish a regional association in Hesse for her alliance, which would like to take part in the next Bundestag election 2025. The first Hesse State Association will be launched in Wiesbaden next Saturday, October 9th, which is an important step for the party.
The new state association is founded under the direction of prominent members. The member of the Bundestag Ali al-Dailami, who only left the left party last year, and entrepreneur Oliver Jeschonnek apply for the chair. These two personalities should jointly steer the fortunes of the new association.
number of members and structure
The planned Hessian State Association will initially consist of 50 members. Despite the initial small number, there were already around 2,000 inquiries about membership. To ensure that the association selects the right members, a careful examination of the applicants is carried out. Further new admissions are only planned if the basic structures are set. The construction of around 10 to 15 district associations in Hesse is also planned.
A central goal of the foundation is participation in the Bundestag election. The new regional association is necessary to be entitled to vote in Hesse. Sahra Wagenknecht has the ambitious project to establish its own associations in all federal states by the end of the year in order to create a broader acceptance and voter base.
The party is aiming for a voter potential of six to ten percent at federal level. Their strategy is to score in both urban and rural areas. Their political orientation is socially conservative and also includes national elements. The Alliance would like to address voters who can no longer find themselves in the current political landscape.
The developments related to this new alliance show the endeavor of the once prominent politician to build up their own platform that wants to be heard in both society and politics. For more detailed information on the topic, see the current report on www.hessenschau.de .
