Autobahn GmbH has now announced that the route will have to be completely blocked for two days in the coming week to fix the damage. A nightmare for commuters and travelers!

The renovation work begins on Thursday, November 14th, at 9 a.m. and last until Friday evening. The areas affected are between Wiesbaden-Frauenstein and the Schiersteiner Kreuz, where the roadway urgently needs to be renewed. Two damaged concrete slabs from 1966 are replaced after they are broken on Wednesday evening. The right lane has already been blocked and Autobahn GmbH speaks of "age weakness" as the cause of the damage.

The diversion leads through Wiesbaden-Schierstein, the Söhnleinstraße, Reichsapfelstraße and Rheingaustraße are affected. From there, traffic is led back to the A66 via the Wiesbaden-Räppelallee junction. Drivers should prepare for significant delays and plan their routes accordingly!
