Bad Nauheim, Deutschland - The country road between Rockenberg-Oppershofen and Bad Nauheim-Steinfurth remains open to traffic until the spring of 2025! Originally, a blocking was planned for seven months from mid -November 2024, but now there is a surprising turn. Thanks to a change in the construction plans, drivers can continue to commute between the two locations while the work is long in coming.

As Hessen Mobil announced, the start of construction is delayed due to adjustments for further upcoming construction work. A specific start date has not yet been determined because the weather conditions will play a crucial role in spring. But the good news: In contrast to the original planning, the construction period is now reduced to about six months, since the interruption over the holidays is eliminated!

The upcoming work is crucial for amphibian protection! The installation of eleven tunnels is planned to be installed at a distance of 30 meters to protect the animals during their hikes. The roadway is also renewed over a length of about 430 meters, which has affected by damage such as exertion and network cracks. The new protective system is made of durable material to reduce the voluntary use of helpers who have had to bring the animals to their spawning waters so far. With these measures, not only the security of the amphibians is increased, but also the street quality is improved!
