Bad Salzhausen, Deutschland - A spectacular anniversary is celebrated! Bad Salzhausen, the smallest spa in Hesse, is 200 years old! The celebrations in the parking room were a real festival of creativity and nostalgia when the local advisory board presented a unique video that gave up the eventful history of the spa. The discovery of the healing sources by the chemist Justus von Liebig in 1824 was the beginning of an era that was characterized by ups and downs. Mayor Thorsten Eberhard and the first district deputy Birgit Weckler were on site to remember the challenges and successes of the spa, including the closure of the Justus-von Liebig-Therme two years ago.

The evening was peppered with musical interludes, including a song by the famous operetta singer Astrid Brack, who often visited Bad Salzhausen. The guests reminded their melodies of the glorious times of the spa. Pastor Alexander Starck spoke with a Bible quotation about the imperishable importance of the place, while the citizens agreed in the chorus of a song specially written for the anniversary. The journey through time in the 19th century, presented by Martin Guth and Gerhard Welzig, revealed the beginnings of the bathing system when bathing not only served hygiene but also health.

The return of Justus von Liebig

in a special moment Petra and Reimund Becker slipped into the roles of Justus and Henriette von Liebig. Confused about the changes in the spa pool, Mayor Eberhard symbolically handed over a big key - a sign of the hope of reviving the traditional bath. The evening ended with an entertaining video that brought the history of Bad Salzhausen into the present, accompanied by musical performances that delighted the guests.
