The Vogelsberg district has finally received the promise for massive financial support: 25 million euros from the state of Hesse for the construction of the district hospital! The decision for the new building was made after years of discussions about mergers and renovations. Construction of the new hospital, a project with a total volume of 85 million euros, is scheduled to begin in 2025. Contracts were signed with the planners in the summer of 2024. "We face the Herculean task of building a new hospital in financially difficult times," emphasized Mischak and spoke of an "investment in the future of the region". The district administration had previously received 8 million euros in loan funding from the municipal investment program and 13 million euros.
