Land women invite: Discover the charming bloodrod!

A very special event recently took place in Bleidenrod when the district country women's association Alsfeld and the local country women's association organized a large meeting. At this event under the motto "Land women from place to place", around 120 women from various country women's associations of the district gathered and took the opportunity to find out about the special features and the history of the small village.

After a pandeme -related break, the Bleidenröder country women were finally able to present their club and the advantages of their place of residence. The chairwoman Andrea Lein welcomed the guests to a festively decorated party room, which was set up in her family, since the village community center did not offer enough space.

insight into village history

The mayor Andreas Buch welcomed the visitors and gave them an overview of the agricultural history of Bleidenrod. "Get to know a livable and lovable village," he called to the participants, while Volker Lein, a local farmer, pointed out that there were more animals than humans in the village. With only about 200 inhabitants and a close community, Bleidenrod is proud of the active role of the country women in the village.

The country women's associations in the region actively get involved in community life and contribute to cultural identity. An exemplary highlight of the day was the village tour, in which the participants could hear time -honored stories about the half -timbered church of an experienced manager. The church, which was built between 1510 and 1526, is considered the oldest half -timbered church in Oberhessen and with its historical characteristics is a cultural treasure of the community.

After the exciting tour, the country women enjoyed regional specialties, including the traditional salt cake, which is lovingly called "bread mat cake" in Bleidenrod. Accompanied by stimulating conversations and a historical review by Karl-Heinz Theiß, who showed the beginnings of the place and his developments since the first mention in 1289, the meeting became a full success.

an outlook on upcoming events

Already at the beginning of the event, guests were pointed out to future events. The district country women's association Alsfeld is planning a variety of activities, including a cozy get -together in November and participation in the Alsfeld Pentecost market. For the coming year there are a study trip and a barbecue afternoon in planning.

The country women are not only an important part of the community in Bleidenrod, but also an example of the strong cohesion within rural structures. These meet the connection between the individual clubs and promote the exchange of experiences and traditions. The country women of Bleidenrod have not only enriched their own place, but also the entire region.
