The hands in it are important for our coexistence," emphasized Dehnke. This year there were 88 suggestions in the categories "everyday heroes", "life's work" and "committed under 30". behind the scenes of the award winners

The association "Scots helps" has been operating the Bonni & Kleid second-hand shop since 2017 and has collected over 25,000 euros in donations for non-profit purposes during this time. Under the direction of Heide Förschner, almost 50 volunteers who work every day are involved in collecting and preparing used goods. The table club, founded in 2006, provides around 300 people in need from 90 families with food that are donated by supermarkets and bakeries. Here, too, around 35 volunteers are on duty to sort and output the food.

Kimberly Nies, which was awarded in the "Dedicated under 30" category, is a true multi -talent! The 23-year-old is not only active in the fire brigade, but also an integral part of the Niddernarren carnival program. As secretary and board member, she brings a breath of fresh air to the club work and takes care of the security of her fellow citizens. Their commitment shows how important young people are for the community!
