Political insights and commemoration: FDP excursion to Wiesbaden

In an exciting political adventure, 40 citizens traveled to Wiesbaden from the districts of Schwalm-Eder and Waldeck-Frankenberg. The FDP member of the state parliament Wiebke Knell (Neukirchen) invited to an exclusive information trip that led directly to the hearts of state policy. There were not only FDP members, but also committed volunteers, senior citizens' representatives and interested citizens.

insights into state politics

The trip began with an informative presentation about the structures and tasks of the Hessian state parliament, which gave the participants the crucial first glance at the political machinery of the state capital. An emotional highlight was the commemoration of Oskar Schindler on the 50th anniversary of the death, in which the publicist Michel Friedman gave a moving speech. Friedman, a survivor of the Holocaust, recognized Schindler's legacy and made the audience think.

During a personal exchange,

KNELL emphasized how important it was for her to bring people from their homeland closer to the processes and challenges of their political work. "I have a lot because of giving people a direct insight into my work and showing how I campaign in Wiesbaden for the concerns of our region," said the committed politician. In addition to her role as a member of the Hessian state parliament, she is also the group leader of the Free Democrats and heads the committee for agriculture and the environment.

Cozy end in the Rheingau

The crowning glory of the day was a visit to the Martin wine yard in Eltville in the picturesque Rheingau. With a sociable wine tasting and a traditional Vesperplatte, the participants ended the exciting day in a relaxed atmosphere. An unforgettable experience that some participants will surely remember for a long time!
