Frielendorf: New container housing for refugees from January!
In a surprising turn, the container housing in the Spieskappel district of Frielendorf will become a new home for refugees from January 2025. This decision was announced by Stephan Bürger, the press spokesman for the Schwalm-Eder district. The facility has been empty since its completion in March 2024 and is now waiting to be finally inhabited. But while new hope arises here, well -functioning accommodation in Körle closes its doors.
The closure of the facility in Körle raises questions. At the request of the HNA, why new accommodation is opened while another is closed, the district spokesman remained vague and referred to the already published article. It also remains unclear whether the new residents in Spieskappel will come from Ukraine or from other countries. However, one thing is certain: from January, refugees will gradually move into the container system.
positive reactions from Frielendorf
Mayor Jens Nöll expressed optimistic about the impending move in of the refugees. "The municipality of Frielendorf is positive and tolerant towards the move -in of refugees," he emphasized. According to the building owner, the Schwalm-Eder district, the container system is ready for occupancy and the support from the volunteers from the “Misorschen” working group is secured. A full -time contact person is also provided to help newcomers to integrate.
The construction work for the container housing complex began in October 2023, and the plans provide for space to be created for up to 59 refugees. With integration courses and orientation aids, the Schwalm-Eder district wants to make it easier for the new residents to start a new life. The situation remains dynamic and the community is ready to do everything necessary to enable the refugees to arrive pleasantly.
