23 new machinists: Fire brigade in the Schwalm-Eder district strengthens!

In the Schwalm-Eder district, an important event has taken place for the local fire brigade community: 23 new machine operators were successfully trained. This training took place under the organization of the Fritzlar-Homberg district fire brigade association and shows the tireless efforts for security and operational readiness in the region.

The training was made up of two extensive parts. In the theoretical section, which took 23 hours, the participants were familiarized with important aspects such as traffic law, water withdrawal and the function of fire brigade aggregates. In addition, there was a practical training of 20 hours, in which the handling of pumps, electricity producers and various technical devices was practiced.

teaching content of the training

The training covered a variety of basic topics that are essential for the daily work of the fire brigade. These included:

  • traffic law to be legally secured in the operation,
  • water withdrawal points so that the rescuers always find the right source of water,
  • The water supply and its importance in the event of a use,
  • Error promotion error to avoid possible breakdowns,
  • The structure and the function of fire brigade aggregates that are essential for technical operations.

The new machine operators are well equipped by this comprehensive training in order to take responsibility for technical devices when operating. At the end of the training, they had to take both a written and a practical exam - and all participants passed them successfully.
