Kickers Offenbach celebrate 4: 1 victory and shorten the deficit to FSV Frankfurt!
A spectacular football afternoon in Offenbach! The Kickers Offenbach were able to go onto the Göppinger SV with an impressive 4-1 win and thus shorten the gap to the leader FSV Frankfurt to just five points. In front of 5,620 enthusiastic spectators, the Offenbacher showed that they also want to remain unbeaten in the local arena.
The OFC started furiously: Valdrin Mustafa scored the first goal in the 13th minute and caused a jubilee mood. But the game was anything but a sure -fire success. Göppingen, who had previously been unbeaten five games, showed up brave and had two great chances right from the start. However, goalkeeper Johannes Brinkies saved the Kickers from a deficit. After a weaker first half, in which the Kickers were only sporadically dangerous, the OFC came back sharply after the break and took the command.
hustle and bustle and wrong decisions shape the second half
The second half started with a lot of momentum for the Offenbacher, but the referee Fabienne Michel increasingly moved into the spotlight. After several disputed decisions that caused excitement, a penalty was given for the kickers, which was confidently transformed by captain Marc Wachs. With an own goal of Steinbrenner in the 86th minute, the victory was finally sealed, even if Göppingen scored the honor goal shortly afterwards through a penalty. But the Kickers were not put off and restored the old distance with the 4: 1 by Urbich in added time.
coach Christian Neidhart was relieved after the game and praised his team's performance against a strong opponent. The Kickers Offenbach are very evident this season and have the ambitions to get promotion to the higher league. The fans can hope for more exciting games!
