New bike path strengthens tourism and security in the region!

The Green Welle rolls: In the Carinthia region, the planned cycle and hiking trail as well as the special program "Stadt und Land" in Hessen become important pacemakers for sustainable mobility. According to orf.at , the new cycle path in Carinthia will not only increase traffic safety, but also promote sustainable tourism. Financial support of over 1.1 million euros comes from various regional agencies as well as the municipalities of Steindorf and Ossiach to realize the bike path along the strongly frequented Bleistter Moor Straße (L50). The construction work includes, among other things, the creation of new bridges and the construction of a safe dam body.

BUND promotes cycle paths in Hesse

The federal government in Hesse is massively investing in the infrastructure of cycling. From 2024 to 2030, over 59.5 million euros are available as part of the special program "Stadt und Land" to close gaps in the wheel network, such as Kahmobil-hessen.de With a funding rate of up to 75 percent, municipalities can implement projects to improve the cycling infrastructure - be it the construction of bike paths, bicycle roads or bridges.

The funding is intended to help the cities and municipalities to start their own initiatives to expand safe and attractive cycle paths. These synergistic efforts in Carinthia and Hesse show how the interaction of financial support and planned projects can shape an environmentally friendly future for traffic.
