Lust for murder in the care area: Berlin doctor is said to have killed at least ten people
A shocking case shakes Germany: a detained palliative doctor is suspected of having killed at least ten people. The Berlin public prosecutor's office now spoke of "murder lust". As Tagesspiegel.de were even ex humanized and examined, so that the number of suspicious cases could continue to rise.
The accused doctor who has been in custody since August is said to have committed his deeds during his work for an outpatient care service. According to the public prosecutor, this happened "without medical indication" by giving the medical staff a fatal mixture of different drugs. Initial investigations into arson, which the doctor may have triggered to cover up his actions, finally led to the intensification of the murder investigations. Further statements by relatives and nurses were also collected in advance, such as Oe24.at reported.
Investigations far -reaching
The officials of the Cologne State Criminal Police Office are now also examining possible facts from the doctor's medical past, since he previously worked in various facilities in North Rhine-Westphalia and Hesse. Further striking deaths could come to light. According to the public prosecutor, the doctor does not comment on the serious allegations. It remains unclear how many patients may also suffer from his hands in other federal states. The German Foundation for Patient Protection has also requested that all patient contacts of the palliative doctor have been thoroughly checked in order to meet the comprehensive dimensions of this case.
