Stuttgart dominates: SG Volleys Marburg-Biedenkopf in the 3rd league
Stuttgart. Another setback for SG Volleys Marburg-Biedenkopf in the 3rd division! In a gripping duel against TSV Stuttgart, the volleys had to take a bitter defeat - and without a single set win! With the sobering results of 14:25, 6:25 and 10:25, the game was a clear matter for the hosts. Trainer Volkmar Hauf was forced to form an emergency cast from only seven players, which only reinforced the challenge.
The improvisation was the motto of the day! Amelie Reisz took over several roles, played both in the acceptance and outdoor attack. As a diagonal player, Emma Bögel tried to break the Stuttgart block, while Leana Pfeifer moved to the middle block position. The debut by Renate Kern, which is normally responsible for the pass distribution, was particularly exciting, but was now on the field as Libera. Despite their motivation and the will to shine in unusual positions, the volleys could not harvest the fruits of their efforts in the first set, as Hauf reported. "We fought for every ball", but the balls often got stuck in the high block of the Stuttgart women.
Stuttgart superiority
The superiority of the Stuttgart women became increasingly clear in the course of the game. Hauf found that the Stuttgart women were simply superior in the areas of serve, block and attack. "The sentence results speak a clear language," said the trainer. A bitter day for the SG Volleys, which impressively demonstrated the challenges of promotion to the 3rd division.
