Waste fees in Stadtallendorf rise drastically: You have to pay that much!

Stadtallendorf. From January 1, 2025, it will be really expensive in Stadtallendorf! The waste fees are increasing drastically, and this determined the parliament in a unanimous decision on November 7th. Citizens have to prepare for an increase in costs for the disposal of residual and organic waste- a whopping 11.7 percent and 5.6 percent more! A real shock for households!

What is behind this drastic increase in fees? Stadtwerke must pass on the increased costs of waste management Lahn-Fulda (ALF), and that has its price! The newly introduced CO2 tax costs properly. Municipalities are now paying 225 euros per ton of remaining waste - an increase of 208 euros! In addition, there are also higher transport, personnel and energy costs, which must also be included in the calculation. The city was advised by an auditing company to determine the new fees.

The new waste fees cannot be overlooked! Here are some examples:

• A 120-liter tone at 14-day collection will cost 19.55 euros instead of 17.50 euros-these are annual additional costs of 24.60 euros!
• The 240-liter tone residual waste is 39.10 euros, instead of 35 euros. Here the annual additional costs add up to 49.20 euros!
• And in organic waste? The organic bin with 120 liters will cost 5.70 euros instead of 5.40 euros - this results in annual additional costs of 3.60 euros!

The bulky waste fees and administrative costs remain unchanged, but citizens can adjust to further increases, because the CO2 tax will continue to rise in the coming years!
