New cemetery in Niederdorfelden: A place of calm and memory
A radiant day in Niederdorfelden! The official handover of the newly designed cemetery attracted numerous citizens who were interested in the impressive changes. Mayor Klaus Büttner (SPD) welcomed those present, including Pastor Tobias Heymann and members of the reservist comradeship Kinzigtal. As part of the celebrations, there was also a moving wreath laying on the honor grabbil for the victims of the two world wars.
The redesign of the cemetery, which has been implemented for a proud 450,000 euros since February 2024, has transformed the area into a true oasis. "A cemetery must be in good condition so that everyone who has died can be buried with dignity," emphasized Büttner. Community board member Reinhard Schott praised the new parking character, which makes the cemetery a meeting point for the citizens. In the center of the complex, the majestic 300 -year -old linden tree, surrounded by a freshly sown flower meadow.
innovative forms of burial and modern design
The innovations are impressive: tree graves, two urn walls with a total of 130 graves and space for three other walls with 140 burial chambers were created. A swallow house and an area for children's graves complete the offer. The newly paved paths, inviting seating and modern water points make the cemetery a place of calm and commemoration.
The citizens are thrilled! Jutta Herzog raves about the design elements and the park -like character of the cemetery. "The linden tree is a focus, and the seating invites you to linger," she says. Anneliese Hacke and Gerda Stock also express their satisfaction, but would like a larger cemetery hall for large mourning companies. The planners and the construction team under the direction of Polier Jarno Rösner received a lot of praise for their friendly and helpful way during the construction phase. The newly designed cemetery blends in harmoniously into the existing system and now also offers space for innovative funeral forms such as the star child field.
