Last chance for fiber optic: Deprivation in Somborn ends on November 15th!

In Freichticht-Somborn, the watch ticks! The countdown for the free fiber optic connection is running, and the deadline ends on Friday, November 15th. Mayor Dr. Albrecht Eitz and his fellow campaigners are alerted: So far, only 76 percent of homeowners have submitted their property owner declaration. If you don't act now, you could regret it bitterly later!

The meaning of a fast and stable internet connection cannot be assessed high enough. "Those who do not access now will be annoyed later," warns Simone Roth, Managing Director of Broadband Main-Kinzig GmbH. The free connection is a unique opportunity, because after the deadline, homeowners have to dig deep into their pockets - several thousand euros could be due! Time is pushing and the citizens are called to submit their orders as quickly as possible.

The project is supported by funding from the federal government, state and district, which means that the fiber optic connection is free for the citizens of the Main-Kinzig district. But not all houses are justified: broadband Main-Kinzig GmbH must not expand in cable network areas. A total of 1,670 buildings can be connected in Somborn, but so far only 1,286 orders have been available. "There is still a lot of room for improvement," says Jannik Marquart, who encourages citizens to recognize the importance of the project. "With the district's own expansion, we equip every single community for the future," he adds.

In the districts of Altenmittlau, Bernbach and Horbach, the expansion has already been completed, and the connections are about to be taken up. Somborn will follow in the coming weeks, while Neuses will come in the spring of the next year. Mayor Eitz is enthusiastic about the cooperation with Broadband Main-Kinzig GmbH and recommends everyone to secure the connection before it is too late!
