Kreisstraße 63: Refurbishment completed earlier - full closure canceled!

Steffenberg-Oberhörlen, Deutschland - The road construction work on the K 63 and K 64 at Steffenberg-Oberhörlen have been successfully completed! Thanks to the perfect weather, the renovation could be ended two weeks earlier than planned. The full closure that was necessary for the work was canceled on Friday, November 15th. Drivers can now look forward to a safe and smooth journey again!

Since mid-October, the district of Marburg-Biedenkopf, under the direction of Hessen Mobil, has renewed the asphalt ceiling of the two district roads. The K 64 received a comprehensive discrimination on a distance of around 400 meters, starting at the junction of the K 63 towards Eschenburg-Hirzenhain. Here the old, damaged asphalt was milled off and replaced by a new, 14 centimeter thick asphalt layer and a four centimeter thick asphalt cover layer. The work only lasted a week!

But that wasn't all! The K 63 was also thoroughly renovated over a length of around one and a half kilometers from the Oberhörlen town exit to the branch of the K 64. Here the damaged asphalt surfaces were also removed and replaced by a new, robust asphalt ceiling. In addition, banquet plates were laid in the curves and eight paved economic routes were adapted to further increase security. The comprehensive measures not only promise an improved roadway, but also more security for all road users!
