Golf for a good cause: 6000 euros for children in Baunatal!
A charity golf tournament from the Rotary Club Baunatal in the picturesque Kassel Wilhelmshöhe recently took place in a warm and supportive setting. It was an opportunity for the organizers not only to demonstrate sporting skills, but also to collect important means for children and adolescents in need.
The event was able to mobilize numerous participants: a total of 32 golfers competed on a nine-hole place, supported by other nine guests who took part in a trial course. With a cannon start - a special tournament mode, in which several players start at different discounts - things got down to business. The weather was ideally suited and contributed to the good mood.
charitable purposes
The tournament's revenues collected amount to a respectable 6000 euros. This significant sum is now being donated equally to the Star Care Nordhessen association, which takes care of children and adolescents in need, and the Lernhof Nature and History, which acts as an intercultural fellow movement for children. This enables institutions to implement other important projects and to offer children access to very special offers.
At the subsequent award ceremony, the President of the Rotary Club, Gunda Dreyer, brought her joy over the success of the event and thanked all participants, sponsors and supporters. Such events are proof of how much joy and willingness to help are in the community. According to Dreyer, it is important to continue these traditions to help those in need and to promote social interaction. as www.hna.de reports , this event shows the commitment of the Rotary Club for social issues and makes it clear how such events can have a positive effect on society.
