The Bettina and Ralf Pfetzing couple, who have been running the business since 1984, retire. "You can retire there," the two say, while the sale is already running and the shelves become empty. The economic development, in particular the competition from online trading, forces them to take this step.

From bicycles to textiles to household goods - the range was varied. But times change. "At some point there will only be retail in the larger shopping centers," warn the Pfetzings. The challenges of corona pandemic and geopolitical tensions have further tightened the Situation, and the prices for goods, especially bicycles, have been skyrocketed.

The last weeks of the company are characterized by special offers that run until mid -January. Then the Pfetzing couple will enjoy freedom with their motorhome. "We want to enjoy that," says Ralf Pfetzing full of anticipation on the new phase of life. One chapter closes while the memories of a glamorous era live on.
