Weiterode, Deutschland - Last weekend, the highly expected endgames of the Hersfeld-Rotenburg soccer district cup took place in Weitenode. The masters of the A, B and C juniors were determined in three gripping games, and every team showed impressive performances.

A dramatic final took place in the A-Junior category, where the JSG northern Kuppenrhön finally triumphed against JSG Rotenburg/Lispenhausen. At first everything seemed to run out of the Rotenburg victory when Hannes Köthe scored the first goal in the 42nd minute. But the game took an unexpected turn: in the final phase, German Scherp achieved the equalization, followed by a decisive goal from Nikolai Fischer, which secured the cup victory for the northern Kuppenrhöner. The goals of the game were: 1-0 Köthe (42.), 1: 1 Scherp (86.), 1: 2 fishermen (88%).

In the B-Junior final, VfL Philippsthal and the JFV Aulatal met. Here Aulatal showed up as the clearly superior team who won the crown in this category with a 4-0 win. Maurice Lipphardt opened the scoring in the 20th minute, and Laurin Dietz placed 2-0 with a penalty in the 45th minute. In the final phase, Noah Baumgarten and again Lipphardt increased, which increased the final result to 4: 0

In the C-Junior category, the audience saw a clash between JSG Neuenstein and the JSG Rotenburg/LiSpenhausen. The game was balanced until the second half before Henry Johann Jeppe scored the first goal with a remarkable free kick. Within a short time, Kyrylo Martynovskyi shot and let other goals for Rotenburg before an own goal of the Neuensteiner consolidated the result to 4: 0.
